Due to the demand for rooms it was impractical to close the premises, so the work has been split into four phases at each premise. The existing fire alarm system falls well short of current standards but has to be kept operational until the new system is fully installed and commissioned.

The radio fire alarm system meets the operational criteria and solves the problem of phased installation with ease. Even the main control panel can be sited in a temporary fashion until the redundant system can be removed. The installation of each phase takes no more than one day and is considered as a final fix operation that can be arranged at very short notice. Diligent use of combined detectors/sounders proves very cost effective without sacrificing performance.
