Radio Fire Alarm System For Bailey House
Bailey House in Rotherham is a three storey office block constructed in the early 1970's. The premises were fully covered by a fire alarm system from new but over the years the system became more of a reliability problem due to the old technology detection. Finally the system completely failed on the 31 st August 1998 and, due to the vital need for maintaining its use, we were approached to install a radio fire alarm system as a replacement.
A skeleton system was installed and made operational within five days and the complete system installed and commissioned to the latest standards within three weeks of the original system failure. During this time the building was fully occupied and suffered very little disruption. The presence of asbestos in floor voids did not pose a problem as might have been the case with a wired system.
